Re: Sims 4 Lag After Neighborhood Update Pt. 2

Thank you for replying!

I tried what you said:

1- I ran the game offline + Eco Lifestyle disabled, and it made a big difference!

2- I ran the game again in a new save connected to the internet but with Eco Lifestyle still disabled and it ran okay as well.

For the 3rd test, I enabled Eco Lifestyle and lag resumed in all worlds (but the base game worlds). I noticed this time that for some lots if I hit esc to open the menu in live mode and/or build mode, lag seems to get a bit better. For other lots (mainly bigger ones) that didn't seem to help.

@onlythreedots  It sounds like Eco Lifestyle is at least a significant part of the issue.  One thing you can try, since you probably don't want to play without the pack entirely, is disabling the eco footprint effects, the ones that make clean neighborhoods sparkle and the like.  A couple of players have reported that this helped with their lag too.

I don't know of a real fix to this particular issue, unfortunately.  There's always a chance it gets fixed in a patch, so I'd keep testing each time you update the game.

Unfortunately, disabling eco footprint didn't help, I'll have to wait it out if they end up fixing it. Until the patch, Eco Lifestyle wasn't really an issue for me. I wish I could roll back that update... but it is what it is.

    Thank you for your help!
