Re: Sims 4 relationships stuck on "acquaintances"

I have to add, that im trying out different codes, and, right now im trying to reset all my sims with "resetSim Fname Lname" but for my main guy and girl sim it says "Sim cannot be found" so i cant even reset them. It is very likely at this point that those 2 are the bugged ones, and not everyone else.
They have a working relationship between each other but they dont work at all with everyone else, while everyone else might have a working relationship with each other, but they cannot raise relationship with my 2 core sims.

Yes, ive narrowed it down, so this is the actual issue. Relationship codes work for all sims, except my 2 main sims.
Other sims develop relationship normally with each other, but my 2 main sims are nonexistent to them.

My two main sims maintain the relationship thats between them, but if i try to modify them with codes they dont work. If i try to modify their relationship manually it also doesnt work. Their green and pink bars are not going up or down, their states are working for now, but for example if i modify the relationship in any way between them, they become stuck on "acquaintances".

So it seems my 2 main sims are affected only, by the game system, they dont exist. This was likely caused by that old bug you were talking about. What can i do in this situation ?
(Remaking them or restarting on a fresh save are out of the question obviously)

Screenshot shows that 2 sims are recognised by the game why the other 2 cannot be found.

So it seems the actual Sims were bugged in some way.

I have no mods and base game only. I have created new Sims in new save game. Relationships are not updating at all during Sims socialization. It says acquaintances when relationship bar shows 100%. Clearly relationship bits cannot be updated during social interactions, but on traveling or game restart. Mind you, I will not restart game or travel with map during social interactions. Please fix this bug with relationship bits. Sims don't get even buff indicating their friendship, when it clearly should be the case, because relationship bar shows maximum points. I have repaired the game right after update. Sims are fresh right from the CAS in a new created The Sims 4 folder without any other single save inside this folder.

Cheats are not a solution for me, i hope you understand.

I didn't update my game on my main computer, because the fact of broken relationship bits will make my game unplayable for me. As well I cannot buy  new SPs in this case, because installation will require a game update.

I please you to look into this problem and bring fix as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding and your time.

P.S. The relationship bug happened at me right after update, came with the Fitness SP on 15 June 2017.

Hi! I am also experiencing the same issue with four of my sims. I have 8 sims living together, but four of them are friends with some, stuck at acquaintances for others. I've tried the solution you gave but it hasn't done anything. I've also been looking up ways to fix it but i can't get anything to work. I know this is reaaaally late from your comment but idk what else to do ;-;
