Re: Sims 4 Screen Flickering

hello I'm having the same issue I been play this game and the top of the screen is flickering I tried to reinstall it but that did not work I tried evreything I hope this is fixed  because I love this game but mine is a windows version

  • This is typically a faulty monitor or graphics card. Can you borrow another monitor to test with?

It can also be a result of trying to run the game at higher setting than is supported by the monitor/graphics card.

  • I had the same problem after reinstalling windows 10.  Corrected the problem by opening a saved game and adjusting the game display options.  Make sure they match the computer resolution.  The flickering will be a minor distraction, but it should work.

That’s what’s happening to me as well and since it’s “bad for your eyes” they won’t let me play sims unless I fix the problem

Thanks Caroline!! this helped me=) when turning on vertical sync, the flickering disappeared. =)

  • Try turning the edge smoothing on! I had the same problem for a while but once I turned it on, it was fixed! Good luck!

I'm having this problem on and off for the last six months, I quit playing when I see it and return after a few months to see if it's still there. The screen is flickering between darker and lighter, and I've tried changing the resolutions, FPS and it doesn't work. My monitor is pretty high-end I believe, and I run other games perfectly. Is there something I can do here? Thanks!
