Re: Sims 4 Travel/Lot Loading Bug

@Tabitha9070  I've moved your post to the PC tech section for troubleshooting.

Please repair the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.  If that doesn't help, clear Origin's cache:

https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

restart your computer, repair a second time, and try again.

If that doesn't help either, please temporarily move your Mods folder to the desktop, delete localthumbcache.package, and try to load a household again.  As long as you don't save your progres, you won't damage your saves by doing so.

@puzzlezaddict hello, i did as you suggested and could only get it to load by removing the whole mods folder, which is odd because i haven't changed anything in mods folder for about a week and the issue just started today. How do you suggest i root out the problem mod or cc?

@Tabitha9070  Try the 50/50 method.  Test with half your mods in, and if you can load your households, set aside those mods and test half the other half.  If that batch of mods doesn't let you play, split it and test half of that.  In this way, you can quickly narrow down the problem mod in a small number of tests.  But be sure to test the other mods anyway, just in case there's more than one causing a problem.

Some mods and custom content don't cause problems in all circumstances.  For example, a bad cc item might be fine in your Mods folder but cause a crash if a sim is wearing it, or prevent a household from loading if it's placed.  Mods can be trickier, but again, they might only prevent a household from loading under specifica circumstances.
