Re: [STEPS UPDATED] Newly-purchased DLC not appearing

Hello,

I have purchased the Sims 4 Cottage Living through the EA app but it is not showing up as owned and so only comes up with the option of buying the add-on. I have checked my order history and it is there as a successful purchase. When I run the Sims it does show up there as an owned pack but there is no option to actually download the game. I have uninstalled the EA app to see if that would help but when I re-installed it I am having the same issue. 

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    @Jadekelly97 Try to run App Recovery on the EA app (click on the menu in the upper left corner then select Help>App Recovery) after that check the Add-ons and see if there's the Download button.

    @GiardiniDiMarzo thank you for taking the time to reply. Unfortunately, the add-on is still not available for me to download. It still looks as through I haven't bought it.

    @Jadekelly97    Hi!  Maybe try using the EA app search bar for Cottage Living.  Click on the pack in the search results and see if the download button is there.

    While doing some research for a different thread, I saw someone mention that they got the download button this way even though it wasn't showing in their add ons view or in the Sims 4 menu view.

    Please follow the steps in the post here to run an EA Error Report and attach your Report ID into the thread here so we can look into this further. Thank you!

    I have already run the EA Error Report although I am unsure where I am to find the Report ID? Thanks.

    @Jadekelly97 

    You should see a pop-up box that your report has been submitted after you've finished the Error Report, your Report ID will be listed there.

    @Detornata   You're welcome!  I'm really glad that worked for you. :-)

    Since this thread is so long now, I'd like to rehash the steps.  Is this what you did?

    - Search for the pack using the EA app search bar

    - Click on the pack in the results

    - Click Download (if available)

    I just wanted to clarify this in case it might help others.  I don't know if it will work for everyone, but it's worth a try.

    I'm having the same issue with Growing Together. Bought the DLC at the store, and successfully redeemed the key, but the app won't recognize that I own it therefore I can't download it. My Sims 4 in-game menu states I own it but need to download it. I have restarted the app, cleared the cache, repaired the game, and restarted my computer. The fact that I have to even do all of this and still don't have a fix is infuriating!! Attached is my error report number. 0ad79897-b85b-4268-b748-e741c6a2b98c
