Re: [STEPS UPDATED] Newly-purchased DLC not appearing

@WriterAid hmm- mine never showed it in game, so yours might be a slightly different problem? Anyways, all I cleared out was the ea app, labeled in task manager only as 'ea' with the orange app logo, and 'ea background service' with the white ea logo! nothing else (worth noting I did not have the sims open either, though I didn't manually clear anything out there).

@torchickentacos , hmm. I've restarted my laptop since I opened the sims so there's nothing in the task manager to clear from that specifically. I did try that trick again and it's still not marking it as in the library (I can't even download it from manage addons) - I do think your theory about servers being overwhelmed may be correct, though, because it took a bit longer than normal to log in. I may just need to wait until a later outer of the night and try again - at least we know now it's a technical error on EA's end.

  • Small, but unfortunately anti-climatic, update: every single down detector known to the internet seems to be showing that EA is having some server issues as of current (Whether or not those are fully accurate - who knows.) and I decided to file an error report to see if maybe that would help with fixing it, maybe it's not something that can be fixed from our sides and that's why it's not working? I'll let y'all know if that does anything.
