Re: The Sims 4 Running as Background Process

@thepeachyfaerie  Does this happen if you remove all your mods and custom content and leave them out of the game?  I understand that you could play with your mods and cc once, but my question here is whether you can keep playing without any of the content, or the game also launches once and then stops working going forward.

@puzzlezaddict Once I take out all of my mods and CC, it launches. I’ve been messing around with it and finally got it to launch correctly but I don’t know how long it will last. Also, now my skins (both alpha and maxis match) seem broken (the red and white texture issue) despite being fine before. It’s an odd situation, haha.

@thepeachyfaerie  Then I guess you'll need to sort through your mods and custom content.  I understand it's difficult to test when the game works the first time but not the second.  However, I don't think there's any way around it given you've established that the game works all the time with no mods or cc present.

For the skins issue, I'd try downloading a fresh copy of one of the skins and testing it in-game.  If it's also affected, the skin may need to be updated.  If it's fine, your current files may be corrupt and in need of replacing.

Thank you for the response. I've done the 50/50 method and the results are very inconsistent, with some mods working sometimes and then not other times. I suppose I'll go through everything, maybe I'm due for a spring cleaning haha.
