Re: The Sims 4 The VC++ runtime redistributable package Error: 327684:1

I just got a brand new computer. Windows 10 is fully updated. I just bought the SIMS 4 over the holidays and when I try to install it I get the error: 327684:1 VC++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully. Setup cannot continue.

I believe the problem is with the files in the vc2010sp1 folder. When I try to reinstall the vcredist files I get an error that the the system cannot find the file specified.

I would really like to use the games that I purchased. Any help would be appreciated.

    First check if your Windows is for sure up to date
    https://support.microsoft.com/help/4027667/windows-10-update
    It is safer to use this Windows tool before, because if there are any problems in the system, the installation of this packs may not work
    In brand new computer can be system errors too. The best proof is that these files are missing.
    .https://support.microsoft.com/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corr...
    How do you do everything according to the recommendations Maybe there will be a option that you will not have to add anything to the computer - try again to run the Origin as Admnistrator
    If it does not turn on and it will continue to call for the missing pack, download the missing pack from the Microsoft link. You can put it where you choose. After downloading, click it twice to install it The problem is that TS4 uses vc files from 2010 and 2013 but not 2015
    So you need have to use the control panel to delete all the V++ files that are there and then install these

    VC++ 2010 (x86): https://www.microsoft.com/en-ie/download/details.aspx?id=5555
    VC++ 2010 (x64): https://www.microsoft.com/en-ie/download/details.aspx?id=14632
    There was Microsoft's update for VCRedist_x86.exe and for Vcredist_x64.exe from 2013 and you need both.
    There you have two tables. Choose the versions that fits your country from each table.

    Thank you.

    I have one other question...when you say delete the V++ files using control panel - what does that mean?

    I deleted every file that had anything to do with Origin and the game and tried to reinstall the files listed below.

    The files for 2010 give me an error when I try to install them the extraction fails. It says the system can not find the specified path.

    This is only for the 2010 folder that I'm having this issue

    Did you ever manage to fix this problem? I have the exact same problems as you and there’s no help

    The above did work for me under these conditions:

    • Windows 10 fully up to date
    • Properly close Origin client.
    • Only the V++ redistributables for 2013 and 2015 are now available from Microsoft as at the time of this post. I skipped the older ones
    • CHECK YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THESE FILES BEFORE THE NEXT STEPS
    • Open Control Panel, for example: Windows key -> type in "add remove" and open "Add / Remove Programs", locate the V++ files that ARE available above, and uninstall them.
    • All remaining steps should be done with elevated privileges, eg; use Windows to locate the program to run, right-click, select "Run as Administrator"
    • Download the V++ files, install them (as administrator)
    • Optional restart - I didn't need to.
    • Re-open Origin client (as administrator)
    • Origin should run an integrity check of the downloaded files, and then complete the installation.
    • Ready to play.
