@firdowsf When you moved the entire Sims 4 folder out of the Electronic Arts folder, did you try downloading a new item into the new folder, without adding anything from your old folder? If not, please do so now. And just to clarify, are you downloading from the Gallery or from a third-party site?
When this happened, were your saves showing up, or were they gone as well?
Thanks for getting back to me, I did download a new item after that but it still did not work. When I download from the gallery it works fine but when I download from a third party site it does not work, I use the sims resources and the sims catalog. I've been playing the sims for many years now and this has not happened to me before. My mods work perfectly fine. its just my tray folder items that my sims to not pick up.
@firdowsf Since you've been doing this for a while, I'm guessing you know how to unzip downloads (if necessary) and place all the files in their proper location. Can you double-check though that each download has all the required files? I think there are four or five per item.
Do you use a third-party tool to extract files (e.g. WinRar or 7-Zip), and if so, which one? If you're downloading .zip files, try using Windows's built in tool to extract instead: right-click and Extract or Extract Here.
If these steps don't help, feel free to link me a couple of the downloads that don't work for you by private message. (Direct links to content downloads aren't allowed on this site.) I'll take a look at them and see if I notice anything useful.
They are in the proper location and all the required files are there. I use windows built in tool. I use the same thing when extracting my Zip file mods and it works. BTW I use PC. okay I will private message you the new ones that I downloaded. Could there be a problem with my computer?
