Is this folder on your desktop ?
It does work with just the resource.cfg, right ?

- Ooops lol! :P 1) The way it does not work is every time I put a mod in it wether they are old or new that error comes up ,but if I use that same mod on my other computer the mod works fine. 2) The folder is not on my desktop its in the folder that Electronic Arts generates in documents for games in the Sims 4 section. 3) And lastly the folder works with just the cfg file.
Little bit out of ideas then.
I'll try to find out more but I'm pretty busy with work and all until the end of the week.
I'll get back to you on Monday.
Maybe someone else has other ideas.

Seems this can also be caused by a corrupted resource.cfg
When you moved over your mods, did you also move over the resource.cfg ?

Could you try JUST moving over the mods and leave the newly generated resource.cfg
- I am confused, what do you mean by that? Also I installed the sims 4 on my other computer and put mods in and it works fine on that one but my computer is the newer version of that one so I dont know whats going on.
You said you replaced the resource.cfg with your old one (well that's what I asked when you said yes)
So basically, keep the newly generated resource.cfg and do not move/copy over the old one.
Then put in any mod and see if it works
- I forgot to tell you I fixed it an hour ago. I had fixed it when I went onto my computer and logged into the first account on the computer that used to be my moms scince she was the owner of the computer until she gave it to meand mine was just a secondary account and it did not have all the rights,loaded up the sims 4 put mods in and it worked!!☺ THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP IT WAS VERY USEFUL AND I AM SO GREAYFUL THAT YOU PUT TIME INTO THIS. HAVE A GREAT DAY BYEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!😂
