@cqr0linq  There are actually two separate Sims 4 folders.  One contains the game's program files, as in, what you install through Origin/Steam/the EA App, and you can choose to install the data in the location of your choice, as you have.

The other folder contains user data—saves, mods, etc.—and is always in Documents > Electronic Arts.  You do need to start the game once to create this folder.  If you're still not finding it, please look for its file path in-game, as described here:

If you want to move this folder to your external drive, you'll need to use a symbolic link:

Make sure the location of the Sims 4 user folder is NOT exactly the same as the location of the Sims 4 program files.  These folders need to stay separate, and you can't have two folders with the same name in precisely the same location.  If this is a problem, just create a new folder on your external and put the Sims 4 user folder inside that.
