Re: Unrecognized Video Card

Hello , Sims 4 cant recognize my graphic card and causes freezing and blue screen. My graphic card Geforce RTX 2070 max Q .
vendor ID : 10DE, Device ID : 1F10 is not on the list of graphics card . so what should i do? 🙂

Try these steps

Close the game.

Navigate to programs(x86)\Origin_Games\The Sims 4\Game\bin and find the file: GraphicsCards.sgr. (Path my vary depending on your installation)

Create a backup of the file

Open with a text editor

Find this line: card 0x1f02 "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 (Turing)" $cardLevelUber $resolutionHigh

Before it, add the following line: card 0x1F10 "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 (Turing)" $cardLevelUber $resolutionHigh

Save the the file

Open the game

Check if the card is now recognized in the log file.

@dekunthlux1 It doesn't matter that much where you put it. Just needs to be under the vendorID you see there. Right under 0x1f08 is fine.
