Mhm, okay. Try:
1. Go to control panel.
2. Go to Internet options.
3. Click the connections tab and at the bottom of the window click on LAN SETTINGS.
4. uncheck the option Use a proxy server for your LAN.
5. Click Apply.
6. Close Origin restart the program and computer.
If this doesn't work , your antivirus or firewall could be blocking your connection, try to add origin in your firewall list

What version of windows do you have?
If you have windows 10, click the search button and write Control panel i whatever language your Windows is, and it should show up.

When this has happened to me, I fully exit out of Origin and try again. If exiting Origin isn't working, open Task manager (Ctrl-Shift-Esc) search for a file called ts4.exe. Click on it and select end process.
Shut down the computer, turn it back on and try updating the game again.
To get to the Control Panel, click Start and type in the words Control Panel. It should take you to your Control Panel.
