Thank you CMeki! It worked! I had to reset the "Rohrleitung" (pipes (?)). After I did that the green light went off and I could use the washing machine again!

I am now getting this problem too.
Can wash in the tub, but not the machine.
I have moved the machine (fully upgraded), stacked it with dryer, had on it's own, reset it, repaired game, no mods, no CC at all.
Green light is on, on the machine but each time I click a hamper, it states that there is no machine available.

Nope, my laundry doesn't disappear...I can't do it...
Something that is related is that the laundry baskets, despite having 6 people in the household, never get full (And no the maid isn't doing things behind my back).
Today I tried to reset and move the washer again. Trashed the plumbing and realised that another bug of mine means i can not repair it, so reset the machine again...still no laundry can be done.Would you be willing to share your save with me ?
If so, please zip your saves folder and upload it somewhere like dropbox,, googledrive or OneDrive and PM me the link.
Unsure if that will show or not now.
This morning I sold the wash tub and the machines and bought new...which work....until they don't again- Then maybe wait until it happens again. Had issues downloading your saves anyways.

Do you know what exactly happens when it breaks ? It does sound similar to the other issue I linked. Once it's broken, you can't add anything and it acts like there's no machine on the lot.
The disappearing seems to happen when it breaks. Did that not happen to you ?
NOTHING disappeared.
Hampers never filled up.
Green light stayed on, on the washing machine but was un-clickable.
Clicking on a hamper, click the "do laundry" option and the "add to washing machine " option is greyed out, stating there is no machine on the lot.- I can see the broken machine on a recovered save and then tried the one where you bought a new one and did about 10 loads with no issues so really unsure what's breaking it.
Was just trying to find out what the symptoms of the actual breaking was but it seems it just stopped working one day with nothing unusual happening.
Will do some more testing tomorrow. Didn't have that much time today. My usual routine with the washer (when working)
Add camomile flower
Put load in
do a wash (Householder or maid)
Hang on line (if available)
Nothing seemed out of the ordinary around the time it breaking APART from repairing ANYTHING not working (which I have posted in a separate thread).
Nothing else...maybe one of the annoying ghosts possessed it? I dunno, cant get rid of them so if they did....well..I didn't witness it- OK. Thanks for the additional info.
I'll see if I can get it to break but I don't think I can offer you a solution.
In my eyes it's close enough to the other bug reported but I'll check with QA if they want a separate thread. If not, I'll merge your posts over.
Something break the washing machine which makes it unusable. Could be multiple things or just different symptoms for the same. Came into the game today, so fresh opening of the game... the problem is there again.

(Bought a new washing machine in the meantime) I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what was wrong.
I had my washer upstairs and the stairs were blocked by a hanging light.
once I removed the light, the washer started working like it should
