@kwaixhii Does the game work with the new folder in place? If so, the problem is something in your old folder, and you'll need to figure out what. Please see post 12 for mod-related issues. For the rest, your saves, Tray files (saved households and builds), Screenshots, Recorded Videos, and the UserSetting.ini (login rewards) are unlikely to be the problem, so you can move them to the new Sims 4 folder once you've sorted through your mods and custom content. The other files can be discarded.

I put it on my desktop and then tried to put it back in it's original folder and now none of my saves are showing up 😢
What do I do?? Did I ruin my saves? - Saundale1 year agoRising Newcomer
turns out I have multiple sims 4 files
one is Program files > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4
and the other is Users > Owner > Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4Now I have no idea what the idea location for my sims folder is so I just copied to both
@Saundale The Electronic Arts folder in Program Files is only supposed to contain data from the EA App, not from any games. So a Sims 4 folder there would be redundant, unless of course you've installed the game to that location.
The Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts is the one that contains saves and other user data. If you're not seeing your saves after moving them to this location, please make sure the saves aren't in a secondary folder (e.g. The Sims 4 > saves > saves) or similar. If that's not the issue, here's how to make sure the saves are in the correct Sims 4 folder:
