relationship.add_bit not working

What happens when the bug occurs? relationships remain unchanged
What do you expect to see? relationship bits are changed
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. since the Sim Profile update, I have been unable to do this

Hi there,

I'm making an extensive save file where my characters have detailed backstories -- lots of exes, lots of past lovers. I've been able to use the relationship.add_bit cheat to signify that they dated (broken up, formerly engaged, etc.,) but since the introduction of the Sim Profile it hasn't worked. I've removed all my mods and I still have this issue.

I know you can alter the relationship values manually. I'm talking about directly indicating that they had dated in the past without me having to play out their backstory first.
