Removing the opening screen

Having waited hours for sims 4 to download, even though we had discs! Now we are faced with the problem of the opening screen! The music is playing and you can click on options and a screen appears behind, but cannot minimise opening screen and then all buttons behind grey out. Please help!

    Try force closing The Sims 4.
    Ctrl+alt+delete go to the processes tab and force close TS4.exe.
    To be sure, right click the game in Origin and choose 'repair game'.
    After that try starting the game again. 

    (I doubt that you already have custom content (CC), but is you have take that out)
