Save files and mods do not show up in game

 I just updated my Sims 4 game and when I entered the game, none of my CC showed up, neither did any of my save files. When I went to the Sims 4 file in "folders," all of my mods and saves were showing up in their place... but they didn't show up in game. 

 Does anybody know why this is happening or how to fix this? Already made a copy of the files in case any of them randomly get deleted. My father, who programs for a living can't even figure this out so I'm hoping one of you can. And yes, I uninstalled and reinstalled my game. I did the same for Origin. I powered off and then turned on my computer - basically, nothing is working that used to work for these things in the past. Any ideas?
