saved sims to my library, quit, and now they're gone!

What happens when the bug occurs? I saved a household to my library and quit, but the household didn't save
What do you expect to see? my household and sims saved

I was in the middle of making some sims in CAS and was already loving what I had so far when another family member was rushing me off the laptop to use it so I quickly randomized traits and names and saved them to my library. It brought me to the menu of placing the sims in the world but I decided I wasn't ready to choose A house for them so I though it would be fine to exit the game since I already saved them. WRONG when I got back to the game they were not there! every thing I had done so far was all gone! Is there anything I can do about this?? I saved them they should have been there, I can't help but be a little upset with the person who rushed me of the pc I really like the sims I was working on and I don't think I could ever make them the same ☹️
