Sims 4 - on mute after headphones unplugged

@marshaline6 Super old post but a google search led me to this. I have the same problem. I've been using my Raycon Everyday earbuds (bluetooth), and if they need to recharge in the middle of playing, even if I remove them from devices, I can't even get a standard pair of headphones (Corsair) to have sound, nor do my computer's speakers. I just lose 100% of sound for the game. Everything else is fine. (I can hear youtube, etc just not the game). I've been having this problem for over a year...and it's not just been with Raycons (which I just got at the end of June)

[CM - splitting this post off to its own thread since it was originally posted in a really old one. In the future it would be better to create a new thread of your own rather than posting in one that has been inactive for a long time.]

  • @CathieCMR Don't know how old this post is but I'll reply in case the problem gets resolved. I'm also having this same problem but with jaybird bluetooth headphones so I can only wonder if its a compatibility issue with wireless headphones. Its frustrating if the headphones disconnect while playing then you have to restart the game to get audio back and I can't find a solution on google so this is my last hope I guess.

@AMJ_Introvert  Yeah, I've had this problem before using a set of bluetooth headphones in a different brand...I think it was Skull Candy.  My Raycon earbuds do it though too.  It's pretty much any bluetooth listening device.  Still happens, still no solution...but I don't understand it, because everything else works...just not the game.  And it wasn't just this computer...I've had 3 laptops since I got the Sims and it's happened on all 3.  Two were Asus and this one is MSI.
