Sims 4 - Sims stuck in university!

I have 2 sims at University and the game keeps saying that they are "moving out." I have tried enrolling them and moving into the same place, but it still pops up. I tried dropping them out and moving them out but i keep entering the "packing up" event. It happens over and over and the game won't let me save or let me enter world manager. Has anyone else experienced this? Are my sims stuck in university forever?
