Sims 4: A few problems involving camera for photography skill. PLEASE HELP

First problem: I don't have any options on either of my sims phones about taking pictures, I have to actually click on the camera in my inventory to even take a photo. Second problem: when I go to ta...

I do have a few mods, none that have to do with the photography skill or cameras. I don't want to uninstall all of them. Or all of my CC. 😔

Mods need to be uptodate or they lead to issues.

You can leave your CC in but take out the mods to see if the issue goes away. If it does, you can put them back one by one to find out which one is causing the issue.

    I should also add that it doesn't give me the option on my phone to buy a retail store but it does give me that option on the computer. So I'm still not sure if it's a glitch with the get to work that i downloaded or if it is a mod I have. I have a lot of personality traits downloaded, are those considered mods because they change the default mood of my sims on some of them.

      Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

      You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

      Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

      • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
      • Tray Folder
      • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
      • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave)
      • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
      • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

      The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
