Try to install more old drivers for nvidia. After I returned to 337.88 game running very well and problem was gone.
Yep! Confirmed. 337.88 Nvidia driver works for me too! Thanks. =)
I was actually using an older driver 335.23. So it sounds like 337.88 is the only one that'll work .....
Edit: NEVERMIND. It only worked for once for some reason. Exited, went back in and got black screen again. Waiting for fix .....
What about AMD card users ?
I'm running an R9 290X Crossfire (2-Way) and encountering this problem.

Strange. My game still work as it should. But I also removed "lotcacheddata","localthumbcache","cache","cachestr" when tried to find solution before. Try to use older drivers.
I have the same problem with AMD card, dual monitors and I installed CD version.
Game runs in low details (this may be the solution for now) when I build the house, I change to ultra and since then I have this problem.
