SIMS 4 Cannot find phone to buy in the game for my household
Where do I go to buy a phone in the game? I could neither find the object in the buy mold catalog nor in the build mold. Help?

oh so do you use the cell phone to adopt a kid ?
It is possible to do it through the phone too though if you do not have a computer. If you click the phone and choose >services< (weird choice of word I know), you can then choose adopt child.
You have to be at your home lot though. 🙂
So this is the same if you samt to adopt a pet (or give them up for adoption).
