SIMS 4 CAS NOT WORKING AFTER NEW UPDATE

I've had sims 4 for a while and I have most of the expansions too. When I tried to play on the new update today it wouldn't let me on CAS. It would open and have the defult sim for me to change but no options to change him/ her to whoever I wanted. I couldn't even exit the game I had to open task manager to do so. Then I right clicked on the game in origin and repaired it and the same thing again. So I went into a normal household and got one of them to 'change sim' but it did the same thing as before and now I cant close the game. Please please help. Many Thanks.

    No mods, no active cheats- Me too. I also had issues with babies disappearing when they aged into toddlers. Never had issues with sims till recently- v disappointed

    I tried to delete all the mods which worked but I don't like any of the clothes on the sims and I always been downloading cc and it's been working but sense this new update it's not working at all which is annoying...

    Try freeing up space on your computer and retrying.. I couldn't find the answer anywhere and tried a few things myself. After cleaning up my computer a little bit I tried reinstalling and it now works like a charm.
