I'm having issues with the update as well. Mine won't get past "applying update"
I have tried to clear the cache on EA several times and even tried to leave it to update overnight with only 22% progress when I woke up this morning.
Then I paused the download and when I resumed it, it went back to 0%. Do I literally have to leave my computer a full 24hrs or more for such a supposedly small update?
I've never had issues before when using Origin, but since we've been forced to install the EA app I've had nothing but issues. I spent hundreds of dollars on this game and can't even play it.
Is there a fix for this? It's not my computer that's the problem. I only have these issues when using the EA app.
@SomeoneSomethinA and @lilfeistysims I've merged your posts with another thread about the same issue. Please try the suggestions in post 5.

This was on my second machine. Tried all in the post but nothing worked. Uninstalled the App and downloaded aand installed latest version.
Everything works again.
