Sims 4 crashes no error message. Game is updated

Hello. I am new to posting here... but as the title suggests..sims just crashes with no error message. I do have cc, but I go through it regularly and delete old cc. I have attached a dxdiag. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

  • @obnoxiousguru  Please try playing with no mods or customc content at all, as in, move the entire Mods folder to the desktop and delete localthumbcache.package.  You don't need to save your progress, or you can use "Save as" to rename your save so your sims don't lose their cc.

@obnoxiousguru  Sorry for the late reply.  The Sims 4 errors in your dxdiag look like those that happen due to bad mods or custom content, although that's not the only cause of that sort of error.  If the game is crashing in this way with no mods or cc at all, but not immediately, there are unfortunately plenty of possible reasons for it.  To start with, please try playing while your computer is offline.  You can sign into Origin and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.

If that doesn't help, please play in a clean boot, again while offline:

When you reboot, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down anything that doesn't absolutely need to be running.  If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer.

While you're playing, it's worth checking the Task Manager's Performance tab to see how hot your graphics card gets.  If it hits 80º C at any point, let me know.  You'd need an outside tool to measure your processor's temperatures, so leave that for now unless you already have such a tool installed.  (The CPU is safe up to ~95º.)  A crash from high hardware temps wouldn't leave an error in the dxdiag at all, but it's always possible to have multiple types of game crashes.
