Sims 4 crashes with error message:Video_TDR_Failure nvlddmkm.sys

hello I am really desperate to find out how to play my Sims 4 game without it crashing on me while during gameplay. When it does crash, it freezes, goes to a black screen, bring up a half screen like...

@surfergirl2689 That looks like a driver issue, apparently it can happen if you update your OS and the proper files don't transfer correctly. 

Please check for driver updates, and when you are asked whether you want to perform a clean install, choose to do so.

I have the same error with Windows 10 on my pc and I did a factory reset and then redownloded the sims 4 again and it did the same thing again
