Sims 4 Crashes without mods or CC
I've made posts about this in the past, but never received any fixes to my problem. This time it feels like the crashes are more frequent. To resolve the issue I have Created a fresh vanilla save ...
@okmadi Let's start with a new dxdiag:
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/
And let me know what world you're playing in, and whether this happens in one of the default lots in Willow Creek or Oasis Springs.
I was playing in San Myshuno in an apartment I built. I've been playing in Willow Creek for 10 minutes now and haven't crashed.
@okmadi Your hardware is certainly more than sufficient to run Sims 4 properly, which I'm sure you know. But your dxdiag does list a few crashes of the graphics driver, so that's the place to start. Please do a clean uninstall and reinstall of the driver, as described here:
You can get a fresh copy of the newest Nvidia driver here:
https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/211709/en-us/
Some of the Sims 4 crashes in your dxdiag don't look to be related to the graphics driver, so it's possible that this won't fix the crashing. (The driver is definitely crashing and needs to come out; I'm just saying this may not be the only problem.) If you get another crash while playing on the lot you built in SM, please try one of the premade lots in that world instead, to distinguish between issues with your build and more global problems.
I did the clean uninstall and reinstall.
First I attempted to play on the apartment I built, and the game crashed about 6 minutes into playing. Then I went and played on the same lot but with the EA premade apartment (It's the Jang's apartment) and that caused my computer to bluescreen, again about 6 minutes into playing.
I've attached the new crash report as well.
@okmadi A BlueScreen is another matter entirely. Sims 4 should never cause one, whether the home lot is glitched beyond repair or there's another unfixable in-game bug or something else weird going on. So I'd like to see the crash dump from the BSOD. Open a File Explorer window and type this in the address bar:
C:\Windows\Minidump
I'd like two or three dumps if they're all recent, say after you started posting here. For each file, right-click it and select Copy, then right-click the desktop and select Paste. You can zip them together, upload the .zip to a free filehosting site (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.), and link it here.
I'd also like the most recent Sims 4 crash dump, which is not the same as the crash log you've posted. Click Windows key-R and copy and paste this:
%LocalAppData%\CrashDumps
When you enter, you'll see a list of .dmp files. If one of them is from Sims 4 or the EA App and from after we started troubleshooting, please upload it as well and link it here.
