Sims 4 crashing on new laptop
I have a new Lenova Legion 5 pro that I bought just for playing Sims 4. This machine should be more than enough power to run Sims .
As soon as I started playing I got errors that the graphics card was too high and to adjust graphics settings so I set it to High and the game seemed fine for a few weeks.
The other day I was trying to remove a mod and the One Drive kept restoring the files. I uninstalled One Drive and made sure all of my files were local.
Sometime during all of this Sims started crashing. I would play a few minutes and it just crashes, no errors.
I'm pretty light on mods, I use MCCC and UI Cheats. Removing them did not resolve the issue. That was my first troubleshooting step.
I do not use an external monitor.
This has been going on since yesterday. I have tried the following to fix it:
played without any mods (it still crashes)
Repaired the game (multiple times)
restarted the laptop (many times)
uninstalled EA and Sims 4 and did a clean reinstall
started a new save
adjusted graphics settings in game
I'm ready to reformat this laptop, I don't know what else to do at this point. I also don't know how to troubleshoot the game. I can't find any errors so I have no idea where it's failing.
I'm attaching a screen shot of the display specs.
The laptop has 1TB SSD
32 GB RAM
I'm attaching screen shots of the specs.
I found the following in the Event Viewer
