    I've solved the problem, it was a capability issue with windows. I ram a program to trick sims into thinking it was being ran on a windows 8 device and that seemed to fix it. Thank you for your suggestions and time.

    @crinrict My PC is more than qualified to meet the needs to runs sims 4. This started happening recently, ive never had this problem running sims on my pc untill now. And no i dont have any mods or custom content. I've never used these due to fear of viruses on my new PC.

    @UrAverageDoge  While you might have a very capable computer there may be something that is interring with the running of this program. If any thing a hardware/operating system issue needs to be eliminated.

    Hi @UrAverageDoge

    there is an issue that some people have where a vampire toddler can freeze CAS.

    Do you have any ? Does it happen even if you start a new save game for testing purposes or just on a certain save game ?

    Other than that, what @roberta591 said. DxDiag gives more info then just your specs.

    @katie19100161

    if you want to change compability mode you can check here: https://help.ea.com/sv-se/help/pc/how-do-i-check-windows-recommended-compatibility/

    This is normally not  the solution to "sims 4 CAS freezing" though, as Sims 4 should be fully compatible with windows 10.

    If you have the same problems:

    • Are you using any mods or cc in your game? Try to remove them and see if the game works better.
      For example, move the mods folder from C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to your Desktop and start the game.
    • Open your Origin client and go to My Game Library, right-click The Sims 4 and choose Repair.

    • There might me issues with you PC, please post a DxDiag so we can check:
