Sims 4 deleted games not staying deleted

I guess I've kind of just said exactly what my problem is but I feel I should elaborate.

I have been playing The Sims for years but I don't like having a load of saved games available. It really annoys me and I usually delete them. This also includes the Sims that have saved in the gallery as I won't use them again so why would I keep them?

The reason is I like starting new games with new sims and making new houses and stories. I know it doesn't affect the game in any way but I just like being able to delete something and know that it is deleted. Is that not why people delete things, as they no longer have a need for it?

I've noticed recently though that even with me deleting the saved games and the sims in the gallery, they seem to come back next time I start up the game. It seems me deleting the games and the sims does not keep them that way. I wondered if anyone else was having a similar issue or have noticed it?

Is there anything anyone could suggest I do to get rid of them, apart from deleting everything again and again every time I play the game?
