sims 4 game crashes when loading household

Hey guys, Since last night my sims game crashes when i try loading a household. I've tried deleting all my CC, reinstalling the game, and i even used origin to repair the game but nothing works. Also...

    @Juliannanoir  Please move your Sims 4 game folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  Launch the game, and let me know whether it still crashes, and when.

    Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

    For the unrecognized card, the relevant info will be in the dxdiag.  (And you'd get the error message each time you had a new game folder, whether you uninstalled and reinstalled the game or just patched.)  But I'd also like to see the first 40 or so lines of the file called config.log inside your new game folder.  You can copy and paste that info into a post here; stop when you hit the list of game options.

@puzzlezaddict it worked! im gonna add my mods to see if i can use them. when i went into create a sim and loaded a household everything worked

    @Juliannanoir  That's great to hear.  You do have a few errors in your dxdiag related to your graphics driver, so if you have more issues, it might help to update the driver, or even do a clean uninstall.  Let me know if you want to go that route.

    For the unrecognized card, you'll need to edit a file called graphicscards.sgr, inside the game's program files.  Unless you changed the default install location in Origin, this is the file path:

    Program files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin

    Open graphicscards.sgr (select Notepad if Windows doesn't do it for you), then hit crtl-F and search for "HD 620" without quotes.  These lines should show up:

    card 0x1902 "Intel (R) HD 510" $cardLevelMedium $resolutionMedium
    card 0x5916 "Intel (R) HD 620" $cardLevelMedium $resolutionMedium
    card 0x5926 "Intel (R) HD 640" $cardLevelMedium $resolutionMedium

    Change the 5916 (in bold above) to 3EA0 (that's a zero), save, quit, and your card should be recognized.  You'll be able to tell for sure (after you launch the game one more time) by checking config.log, about 35 lines down:  Your card should have a [Found: 1, Supported: 1] after it.

      @puzzlezaddictI’m sorry this might be a stupid question  but to update the graphics is that something I have to pay for ?

        @Juliannanoir  Nope, there's nothing to buy in this case.  You're just adding the device ID of your model of graphics card to the game's database, so it knows what kind of card you have.  Upgrading a graphics card is a completely different issue, and yes that would cost money for the new card, but that's not what you're doing.
