Sims 4 Game options

Hello I’ve recently gotten a laptop to play the sims 4 with a 3050. I’ve gotten a pop up message saying that my video card was unrecognized so I looked on reddit and such but came across a solution thanks to @puzzlezaddict I no longer have the pop up but every time I relaunch the game it resets my game settings. I would like to use mods and cc but as you know in order to do so I need to check the box and restart the game but like I said every time I relaunch the game it changes my settings to default. Is there a way I can fix this?
