@alliza To be honest, I'm not at all surprised that Sims 4 is lagging on your computer. Your processor is pretty weak for the game, and its integrated graphics chip is under the minimum requirement, although that obviously doesn't mean you can't play at all. Additionally, you only have 4 GB memory, some of which will be borrowed by the graphics chip and a lot of which Windows will use for itself. While that's technically enough for the base game, or even the base game and any given pack, it's not nearly enough to run most packs together, at least not well.
If you can add another 4 GB RAM to your laptop, that will probably help somewhat; you'd need to check your specific model to see whether it supports an upgrade and what type. But performance still be limited by the graphics chip and, to a lesser extent, the processor. Neither can be upgraded.
It may also help to factory reset your Sims 4 user data folder, the one in Documents\Electronic Arts. You can move this folder to the desktop, launch the game once to create a new folder, then move over the contents of the saves and Tray folders. Aside from mods and custom content, the other data in that folder is extraneous and will be recreated as needed.
You can also try a few other steps to help with performance somewhat—maybe you'll find a way to make the game playable enough.
- Restart your laptop (a real Restart, not closing and opening the lid) before launching, and don't open any other apps aside from Origin
- After signing in, put Origin in offline mode, then take your computer completely offline: disable wifi or pull the ethernet cable
- Avoid playing in San Myshuno, and maybe Del Sol Valley, or just experiment to see which worlds run the best
- Make sure your laptop can cool itself effectively: elevate it (use a laptop tray or put books under the corners or something) or get a cooling pad
- If you still get lag, try playing in a clean boot
If the above steps don't help, try selectively disabling expansion packs. You can play different saves with different packs enabled, and having a few others disabled will help with the overall load. Game and stuff packs have a much smaller impact.
