Some things to look at:
- How big is your save file?
- How much RAM do you have on your computer?
- Is your computer a 32-bit or 64-bit Operating System?
- When is the "The Sims 4 has stopped working" message coming up? Is it during area transition? Is it during saving?

Check out my topic again @Mythical-sushi23 , the steps I took might help you in regards to reducing RAM usage on your file and getting it to function a bit more properly.
If you can't save the last lot you were in, just try and open another lot, then close it and return to your original lot to initialize it, it may help clear up issues on that current lot's saved instance.
