Sims 4 Insufficient Memory

Hi Guys! Just want to put up a disclaimer: I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING WITH COMPUTERS AND STUFF SO PLEASE BE PATIENT AND TALK TO ME LIKE YOU WOULD A CHILD. Every time I open Sims 4, I get this me...

    This is indeed a weird message and it has probably nothing to do with your disc space and more with your RAM. The game requires 4 GB of RAM with C&D but it seems your system might be using some of the RAM for the graphics card as you only have 3.5 GB usable (just a guess that this triggers the error since usually it's like 3.8)

    Could be wrong here of course but as long as you don't get any real problems, just make sure you don't have a lot of other programs running in the back and do reboot your computer from time to time to make sure you can use all the RAM you have.

      You only have a 32 bit operating system. C&D requires 64 bit.

      You can upgrade for free but I don't think it's worth it as your computer processor is also too low in specs for the expansion pack.

        Your Graphics driver is 3 years old you need to update it at amd.com.

        Like others here you have less than 4GB RAM available and you only have a 32 bit Windows which means that you can not play any of the latest Expansions.as 64 bit is required.

        In short, it is time for an upgrade.

      @AliciaBrock1113 The minimum requirement to play this game is a video system with 128 Mb of dedicated video memory. Your computer has 32 Mb of dedicated memory. Older systems allowed the amount of dedicated video memory to be modified in bios although I haven't seen this option in some time. Most laptops have limited bios functions so users can't mess up settings and call tech support. I just checked my Dell 1545 and it does NOT have the ability to change video memory although it has an older dedicated video system.
