Open up your task manager and click "more details"
If you see Sims 4 is open, close it.
This should work.

Also running SiM on Windows 7 SP 1, getting the same error. I uninstalled sim , origin, and ran a service pack update , took origin out of the start up folder ....
** SAME ERROR this has to be a bug in the game, where are the EA people to fix this!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try holding down ctrl+alt+del at the same time on your keyboard. This will open the task manager.
Windows 7 will give you a blue screen where you can choose the task manager. See if TS4.exe is running, if so force stop it.

If you're getting this error Sims 4 is already running - ed35e0ea:29f00e76:00000000:18a1dd51
Please post about it in the Sims Mac Board -
https://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/bd-p/The-Sims-MacSome technical issues need to be handled differently because they both are running different operating systems. Mac computer don't have Task Manager, but they probably have something similar.
- 8 years agoim not sure i read this right, im running on windows 7 and you want me to post about it on the mac forum?
They are very different as im sure you know,
