Sims 4 keeps crashing when selecting certain items (Horseranch)

I bought horseranch on sale yesterday and Ive played for a couple hours and the game keeps crashing when I select the shower that came with horseranch or the wine rack in build/buy mode. When I first started I moved into a home that already had the shower and it was invisable. Also, every time I clicked on it in build/buy or in live mode my game just crashed without showing any error message. I dont have this issue with any other items yet, I can select all of the horse-related items just fine. My sim also keeps getting stuck on tasks like sitting on the toilet for 5 hours, which is the least of my worries since I can just reset her, but still, the pack has made my game feel kind of weird and hardly playable. I dont have any mods installed, I got rid of most of my other packs just for this, I repaired the game multiple times, the graphics are set to low and my laptop is brand new and has not had any issues with the Sims previously. Ive seen people having similar issues to this but I havent encountered anybody having this exact issue and Im worried it might make the winemaking feature unplayable. Not sure if it matters but I got the pack on instant gaming ☹️
