9 years agoSIMS 4 KEEPS CRASHING!
Right, so I had sims4 downloaded on my laptop for about a year now and so far there have been no major problems. I've currently played 200+ hours on there and I know many other "Simmers" that have pl...
@Scizzie When the requires minimum requirements that does mean the game won't play. Quite often the game will play but may stop working for no reason at anytime. In your case your computer does not have enough dedicated video memory. This is where data for your display is put before you see the screen. The higher the resolution the more video memory you need. Many integrated video chips when playing graphical games do not have enough video ram to display on the screen. The process to display computer screens is very complex and beyond the scope of this post. Minimum game requirements are just that minimum. These requirements are usually very low and may not always support games that have addins such as The Sims games. One possibility is your computer is over heating and the computer shuts down the software to prevent hardware damage. While your computer may be a nice student/business computer it seems to lack the power to run graphical games.

Thanks for that.
I've uninstalled the game and got in contact with someone from EA and explained the situation.
They're going to see if I can get my money back for the game, being as I didn't know the device I used to play it on wasn't able to run the game correctly and I only experienced the problem, after the 30 day money back guarantee that was available when I purchased the game.
I have no means to play The Sims anymore, I've experienced enough problems with this game and the games prior to know that this is too much hassle for what these games are worth.
Again, many thanks.
I'm gonna leave this forum as "Unsolved" cause, well my problem wasn't really "solved" so to say,
however I'm willing to offer XP for those who helped me realise what was going wrong.
so at least the people who spared some time to help me get something good out of this...
And to those people who did help,
Thank you.
