sims 4 keeps crashing
for the last week, every day, I try to play the sims 4 and about 10mins in it crashes. I have tried taking out cc and mods, still crashes; tried making a new folder for the game, still crashes; tried...
i am having the same issue and not sure what is causing the game to crash, i have tried taking out the mods and repairing the game, ive even made a new sims 4 folder here is the dxdiag, i am at a loss here. any advice or ideas how i can fix this?
@ChAoTiCxDrEaMeRz Your dxdiag shows you're currently running Sims 4 in DirectX 9 mode. Please switch back to DX11 mode instead.
If you use ReShade or GShade, please remove it and repair the game (again), and see whether it helps.
If not, please try playing in a clean boot:
The one service to leave enabled is the EABackgroundService, which the EA App needs in order to run. Disable the rest as described.
When you reboot your computer, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down any service that doesn't absolutely need to be running, for example anything from MSI Afterburner to RGB software might still be enabled. If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer again.
Don't open anything other than Sims 4 and the EA App while testing, not even a browser window.
Your dxdiag does list a type of crash usually related to the motherboard's overclocking settings, but only one, and there are a lot of other typically unrelated Sims 4 crashes too. So please try the above, and if nothing helps, we can look into the board settings.
