Sims 4 Keeps Not Responding?

I'm having the issue, and it's been an on going issue for months, where my game keeps "not responding," or freezing completely. It's making the game become pretty unplayable when it keeps freezing and even shutting down or forcing me to shut down my entire computer because of it. 

I don't have any mods or custom content. And, I try the "repair," on Origin over four times in the past few weeks. 

I don't know what to try other then a complete uninstall and install it all over again. Not only do I doubt it would work, but I could lose all my saves and everything I've worked on in the past year.
