Sims 4: Keg party - no one shows up

I hope this is the right place for this. I tried posting on the Sims 4 Forum and, for the life of me, can’t figure out how to do so, even when on the new member threads. 

I now have Sims 4 University and I tried to have a keg party. It was on a Saturday night at 8pm. Everyone I invited was a friend. But no one showed up. I didn’t even get a message that no one showed. But my social event clock was running. I invited everyone manually and that’s when they showed. But I none of the interactions for the social even worked. For example, everyone was dancing at the same time but it only counted the two people in my family as dancing. I would fill juice cups but it wouldn’t count them. I told stories to my guests, didn’t count them. Etc. I can’t find anything about anyone else having this issue. I don’t have this issue with other types of parties.
