Sims 4 Mac Glitches

So me and my friend both just downloaded the Sims 4 for Mac, and we both opened it up. And we both had different glitches/bugs.

1. My friends one happened as soon as she opened up CAS. The entire sim (other than the face skin) is pixelated and static. It looks like a broken television screen. We looked this issue up and found lots of other people with the same issue and EA seem to be aware of it. However, we tried the Disk Utility, and that did nothing.

2. My issue, however, is a bit different. I have not seen anyone else with the glitch. I started up my game, and everything was running very smoothly, the graphics were great. CAS was great too. Everything was running great, I got in-game and it was fine, I built a house etc. Then I got into Live mode, collected items, did painting found a job, and it was fine. But then, however, I thought I would change the graphics a bit, to take advantage of the graphics my computer has. As soon as I changed my graphics and applied them, my screen completely glitched out. Parts of the screen went black, white etc... So I restarted my game, and I just got the same thing, but worse. The screen was now red, and black, and if I tab out of Sims 4, onto my desktop, my entire computer just goes crazy. I tried reverting the graphic back to the original, but it's just the same. I restarted my computer, and re-opened it, but as soon as I go into Live Mode, the same thing happens.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

  • The 2nd one has been fixed by un-installing it and re-installing it! (however I don't really want to change my graphics options now, so it's going to be stuck with bad graphic! ☹️)

HOWEVER the 1st one is still a problem! D:

Since you're not the only one with that first issue, it's best to continue in the other thread.
