Sims 4 makes laptops battery die

Hello all,
so this happened more than once, i would start up the game of the sims 4 on about 41% battery. Launch it, can play for a few minutes then suddenly my battery dies. I plug it in and it usually recovers where i left off. I have an HP Pavilon. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem and if it can be solved?

Attaching my dxdiag

  • @Sunflowergal227  The solution is not to play on battery.  Sims 4 is quite demanding in terms of energy, as are most games, and no matter how good a battery is, it's not going to last long under that kind of load.  You'll also get better performance with the laptop plugged in: the system will dial back performance when running on battery, sometimes to an extreme extent.

In your particular case, it sounds like what's actually happening is that the battery can't deliver the power needed for Sims 4, and the laptop behaves as if the battery is dead.  Whether this is because your battery is a few years old by now or just a limitation of how it's made doesn't really matter.  I mean, you could try getting a new battery, but you'd still be far better off playing with the laptop plugged in, so you might as well not waste your money.
