Sims 4 mods don't show up despite being enabled and in the mods folder

So I've been playing with script mods in The Sims 4 for a while and recently i decided to download some cc clothing items. I've downloaded some and made a few sims and played. Everything was fine. Today I downloaded some more until i got a notification from OneDrive telling me that my storage is full. I didn't realize my game or at least my mods folder were backed up on Onedrive and didn't think much of it. I looked up some ways of unsyncing the files and moved them around in different folders. But I accidentally deleted my Electronic Arts folder. When i clicked on it and restored it after launching the game all of my saves were gone. I checked the saves folder in the game files and there were some saves in it but they weren't showing up in the game. I deleted the custom content and only kept the script mods i played with before, but when i restarted the game after enabling all cc and script mods they weren't there. The pop up that shows up everytime i launch the game wasn't even there. When i check mods through the game settings it doesn't show me anything as if there wasn't anything in my files. I treid deleting the mods from the folder, uninstalling and reinstalling the mods, disableing and reenabling them and even reinstalling the gameand allthe packs. The mods I have are just the latest versions of UI Cheats, MC Command Center and Basemental Alcochol. I never had any problems with them. Also I tried looking up the problem online and found websites saying i should delete some things from the game files like the cache folder, so I did. That was before I reinstalled the game. After checking for those files when the game was back installed those didn't come back. My system is Windows 11. These issues probably result in me messing with one drive but how do I fix them? And why aren't files and folders from the Electronic Arts/The Sims 4 folder not reseting/coming back when i reinstall the game?

Edit: Also repairing the game through the EA app doesn't work either. I'm really out of ideas, please help.

  • @WhiteDragonfly02  It sounds like you may not be working with the Sims 4 user folder the game is actually reading.  Here's how to find that folder:

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/

If the files are in the correct location, please post a screenshot or two of the files that aren't loading in-game: saves, custom content, whatever you want.  I'd like to see the file names and locations; the latter shows in the address bar, above the list of files.

If you're not sure what's going on here, please list the file path to the Sims 4 folder as seen in-game.

  • It's fixed! : )

I found a different documents folder, one which isn't backed up by One drive. The mods and saves folders there were indeed empty so i just moved the the mods and save files in there and they worked just fine when i tried playing. One weird thing is that the documents folder didn't  let me pin it to quick access tab or pin it to start which is pretty inconvenient but i'll manage. Thank you for giving me the solution!
