i followed the instructions and copy/pasted the command you prepared for me, but it keeps telling me "local volumes are required to complete the operation".... any idea where i'm going wrong?
@simmingonsixam Sorry for the late reply; I've been very busy lately and fell behind with AHQ replies. Perhaps OneDrive is pushing all your data to the cloud. I don't know for sure because I never use it other than to test, but if you'd like to get rid of OneDrive, that should fix the issue. Just use the guide I linked, and then the command will need to list the current location of Documents. You can confirm that location with the reg query command in the guide.

@simmingonsixam The first quotation mark is the wrong kind. (If you look closely, you can see it's curved rather than straight like the others.) Try copying it from the guide, just the quote mark.

i feel so bad. i'm still going wrong somewhere. I copy/pasted the quotation mark from the guide as well as typed the command by hand, but it said "cannot create a file when that file already exists," so i renamed my Electronic Arts folder (on my D:\ drive) to see if that would change anything, with that tweak it tells me "local volumes are required to complete this operation".......thank you so much for your help and patience
