Sims 4 not launching
Having trouble launching Sims 4 digital deluxe. When I press play on origin the small tab thing comes up in the right hand corner however it doesn't load the game, instead it takes me back to origin....
Hi, have you managed to solve the problem? I'm having the exact same problem: Acer Swift 1 but 8 GB RAM and the game just won't open, just a little window in the top left corner and then nothing happens. Being desperate since nothing helps and anyone having this exact problem just never writes their solution anywhere.
@vg7k2f8xph90 If disabling Origin in-game doesn't help, please try launching the game in windowed mode: open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, select Game Properties > Advanced Launch Options, enter -w in the command line box, and save.
If that doesn't help either, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

Disabling Origin doesn't help, neither does starting it in windowed mode. Here's the dxdiag:
@vg7k2f8xph90 Please move your entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. Don't add anything to the folder yet; just see whether you can get far enough to start a new save.
If the game still doesn't open, try setting the user and system DPI scalings to 100%. Even if you want to switch it back later, this is still a useful test.

If that doesn't help either, please let me know whether you did a clean install of Windows 11 when upgrading. A couple of players who haven't been able to run Sims 4 in Windows 11 have reported that a clean OS install helped, after they didn't do one initially. I'm not saying you're necessarily at that point yet, only that it might be necessary if nothing else helps.
