sims 4 not launching

Hi, I recently downloaded the new horse ranch expansion and now my game won't open. It starts to launch and I get a second or two of the loading/start up screen or whatever before it just closes back...

    @Geissgirl  Did uninstalling everything include moving or deleting the user folder?  If not, please try that now:  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

    If you still can't play, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

    I was able to launch and play the game when I moved the folder!

      @Geissgirl  Great, now you can add your saves to the new folder and pick up where you left off.  If you use mods or custom content you don't want to lose, test that first, in batches, to make sure it's all still working.  Any time the game doesn't launch, split whatever batch of files you're testing until you find the culprit.
