sims 4 offline

If my pc is acting up and can not connect to the Net.. can i still play sims4 or do i Have to be connected to play this new version?

    you do need Internet connection for the first time (to download and verify the game )  just a little while ago i did not connect to my Internet and i was able to launch my game origin opened up first to log in it was  an offline login (pretty much like steam's )

    so just to test it for yourself ( if your game is downloaded and installed disconnect from your internet and see if you can launch and play
